Red, White, and FOOD: Recipe Guide // Fourth of July

Happy Friday Ladies!

TGIF, am I right?!

There is nothing better than this part of the summer. The heat hasn't become totally unbearable yet, there is still that fresh summer excitement, and The Fourth of July is just around the corner!

For me personally, I LOVE the Fourth of July. There is nothing better than being able to celebrate this beautiful country that we get to live in, while decked out in patriotic colors, and being surrounded by the people that you love

The Fourth of July is usually known as a day that is full of social events! Most of which, will probably involve all-american foods!

For some people, this is either a piece of cake or a nightmare

If you are anything like me, it is probably leaning more towards nightmare due to your lack of cooking skills.

LUCKILY FOR YOU

I made a fool-proof guide to what to make for whatever your Independence Day menu requires! (All recipes are from Pinterest)

First things first: you always need something to quench your thirst in that July heat!

Lemonade is always a family friendly, all American classic!

Below I have a few super simple recipes for a fun take on your old-school fave.

Pink Lemonade

Original:

  • 1.5 Cups of Lemon Juice
  • 1/4 Cup of Sugar
  • 5 Cups of water

Pink Lemonade Sherbet:

  • Follow Original Recipe +
  • 1 Can Frozen Pink Lemonade Concentrate
  • 1 Carton Raspberry Sherbet
  • 2 Liters Seltzer Water with Lemon

Pineapple Lemonade:

  • Follow Original Recipe +
  • 1 Cup Fresh Pineapple Juice
  • Squeeze of Lime

 Party Rule #1: You can N E V E R have enough side dishes / appetizers.

I personally LOVE when I come to a social event and see tons of options for sides, I mean more food, more happy people, right?!

Chances are, if you're at an Independence Day event, it's probably outside!

That being said, I found a super yummy finger food side dish that I have personally made (yay for Pinterest victories) that is super easy to make and is super easy to nibble on while you socialize!

Last but most definitely not least:

DESSERT.

Dessert is always a fun route to go when bringing a dish to a social event because there are so many possibilities! A lot of times, it is easy to change the colors of desserts, thanks to food coloring. You could make cupcakes, brownies with patriotic sprinkles, etc.

My dessert of choice is a super easy and healthy treat for a hot summer night!

This treat is so cute and yummy that you might have to make double batches, one for yourself and one for the party! (No judgement in that)
