Are you home for the summer or taking college classes? We understand it's hard to find things to do since you don't live near a beach. Luckily, Rock Hill is about 20 minutes from the big city of Charlotte so we can guarantee you'll find something entertaining to do. If you aren't able to make it to Charlotte, here are some fun things to do right here in the great city of Rock Hill!

1. Pelican's Snowballs

This delicious sno-cone place is a MUST during the summer. Located in both Rock Hill and Fort Mill, you're definitely going to want to go here to cool off with some of their many flavored sno-cones, over 100 to be exact.

2. Downtown Rock Hill

The downtown portion of Rock Hill is not only beautiful, but it has some amazing businesses! If you are in the mood for a delicious French pastry or macaroon, then you definitely need to check out Amelie's French Bakery! Celebrate the history of Rock Hill at Five and Dine, a historic landmark that was a part of the Friendship Nine protest. If you're into good beer and food, you'll want to go to Legal Remedy or Millstone! And finally, if you just want to relax and have a picnic, definitely go to Fountain Park!

3. Lake Wylie

Known as a huge hotspot for many Rock Hillians, Legal Remedy not only has delicious homemade beer, but they also have the most amazing food I've ever had. Since Charlotte is known for their famous breweries, it only makes sense that they bring one to Rock Hill. If you're 21+, make sure to try get a flight of drinks and try the Watermelon flavored summer beer.

5. Riverwalk

A newly developed area in Rock Hill, the Riverwalk community sits right on the Catawba river. Famous restaurants such as Pump House and Grapevine wine bar sit right on the water so you can enjoy a beautiful view while eating and drinking. If you're more active, make sure to check out the gorgeous bike path where runners and bikers spend most of their time! If you're more into water sports, you'll see many residents kayaking down the river. It's definitely a gorgeous spot to check out!
